Aurelie Kalenga is a seasoned communications specialist with over a decade of experience, currently serving as Branch Manager at the African Climate Reality Project (ACRP) and a radio news presenter at the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC). At ACRP, she oversees climate change awareness projects, develops communication strategies on sustainability, manages stakeholder engagement, and leads the establishment of a new office in Accra, Ghana. Simultaneously, she presents major news stories at the SABC, drawing from her background as Deputy News Editor at Primedia Broadcasting, with coverage spanning global conflicts, humanitarian crises, elections, and climate conferences like COP27 and COP28. In 2020, Aurelie founded Grace Beyond Borders, an NGO focused on food security and sustainable agriculture for African migrants in South Africa. With advanced degrees in journalism from Wits and Rhodes University and fellowships from several prestigious programs, Aurelie leverages storytelling to advance climate literacy and is recognized for her leadership, problem-solving skills, and passion for making a positive impact.
